City of Chino Police Facility
Chino, CA

Leach Mounce Architects provided the needs assessment concept floor and site plans and budget estimates for six site options including expansion of the existing police building, two sites on the Civic Center Campus and three sites outside of the Civic Center. A comparative analysis was performed for the six sites. The City decided to purchase a “big box” Home Depot building for conversion and upgrade to the Police Headquarters.

The rapidly growing City is expected to increase from 67,000 to 120,000 during the next 20 years. The long range plan includes a 109,000 sf main building with indoor shooting range, EOC, communication center and short term holding facility. The 50 station EOC is expandable to 100. The facility is being designed for LEED Silver certification.

Leach Mounce Architects is providing full design and construction administrative services.
